About AtlasNews

AtlasNews is a daily dispatch on world events. Three stories, each tagged by region, each linked back to the reporting it came from.

We cover diplomacy, conflict, economy and society. The aim is to leave you able to place a story — who borders whom, what moves through which strait, which neighbours have a say — not just to know it happened.

We read Reuters, the BBC World service, Al Jazeera and the NYT foreign desk. We are a small desk and we do not have correspondents in the field; when we are summarising someone else's reporting, we say so and we link it.
